A program curated for youth interested in STEM.

The Rise Up Workshop Series is open to youth 14-17 interested in exploring career pathways in STEM. Our series will center on financial literacy, engineering, and product design.

Through the series youth will have the opportunity to:

• Build new knowledge and skills for their resume

• Learn about different STEM careers and opportunities

• Gain insights from industry leaders and students in STEM

• Become better prepared for post-secondary education and employment

• Win fun/cash prizes, and swag through participation

NOTE: All workshops require you to attend in person. Lunch and transportation will be provided for each series you attend.

Each series will have a limited capacity. Although you are welcome to sign up for all 3 workshop series, please only select the series that you are interested in attending.

Engineering 101

March 14 - 17, 2023

In collaboration with, McMaster’s Ventury Academy, this series will introduce you to the many pathways in engineering, from civic to mechanical to software.

Through interactive activities, youth will gain the lens of how to problem solve and collaborate like an engineer.
