Introducing the Transitions to Post-Secondary Pathways for Etobicoke Youth Research Initiative
This collaborative initiative is led by Rise In STEM and youth in the North Etobicoke community.
Our goal? We want to understand youth’s high school experiences as they prepare for post-secondary pathways and the challenges that come along with it.
Students
We want to hear from you! We are now looking for youth to join our study and contribute to our research. There are two ways to participate:
Online Survey
After taking this brief, 15-minute survey, you will be entered for our raffle, a 1 of 3 draw to win a $50 Amazon gift card.
Interview
In-person interviews we be held at Rexdale Hub and virtual interviews will be conducted on Zoom. Each participant will receive $50.
Can I participate?
Here is our criteria:
Grade 11 or 12 students (16+)Year 1 and Year 2 college/university studentsLive in the Etobicoke community

This research will help us identify barriers and supporting factors for students pursuing post-secondary education
Our Research Stages

Our team of peer researchers will conduct interviews and surveys with youth in the community

Information gathered will be analyzed by our team and shared with participants and community to formulate recommendations

Finally, the results will be used to create new programs, events, and resources for youth.
