Reflections from the YAC
Our Youth Action Committee (YAC) has worked all year to develop youth-led and -serving initiatives for our Rise in STEM community.
At the end of the program, we asked them:

2. How has the YAC prepared you for your career in STEM?

“Leadership opportunities allowed me to network with professionals in my field. The opportunities also helped me assert myself in the STEM field by working to empower other students in STEM.
I am now prepared to ask the right questions during job interviews and take advantage of networking opportunities. I have also learned how to ask for what I want out of my work/internship experience. Being honest and open about what skills I want to gain and what the company expects!”
